Exchange email is a Microsoft product that allows much more flexibility and use out of your email account. They are slightly more expensive than a standard account due to the licensing fees.
All our Exchange accounts we supply are run through our Office 365 products, some of the benefits of an Exchange account are listed below :

- Synchronise all email and subfolders between all your devices (IMAP does this but less efficiently)

- Shared your calendar with other users in your domain and access theirs ( permission required)
- Outlook Web App (Exchange Webmail) available anywhere
- 50GB Mailbox (larger than our 10Gb business mailboxes)
