Create a Protection Plan Print

  • 1

In the Cyber Cloud a single agent does everything. Once you have the agent installed and linked to your account you will need to tell it what you want it to do, you do this by creating a protection plan.

*Note what plans you can create differ with what you have purchased from us e.g. backup, endpoint protection or EDR, if something isn't showing please contact us.

  1. In your control panel click "Management" on the left
  2. Under "Actions" on the right click 'Create Plan'
  3. Change the name of the plan from "New Protection Plan" to something that denotes what it does (Backup, or Endpoint Protection)
  4. Select the components of the plan by turning them on, such as URL Filtering or Backup
    • If there is a green upwards arrow, this denotes that turning this on will use a licence - eg turning on "Advanced Antimalware" or "URL filtering" will use an Advanced security licence
    • Turning on other items such as "Device Control" or "Vulnerability Assessment" will incur no cost
    • Some items have an arrow on the right >, clicking this will open up more options. For example "Backup" allows you to specify details such as time and location of backups
    • Turning on Backup is free but space used is chargeable up to your limit.
  5. Once you have your plan setup, click "Create" at the top to create the plan.
  6. To allocate the plan to a device, click on "Devices" on the left, choose the device you want to protect, and click "Protection" on the right.
  7. Choose the plan you have just created, or an existing plan, and click confirm.
  8. The plan will then be allocated to the device and it will be protected or backed up depending on what plan you created
  9. A device may have one or more plans allocated doing different things, as long as they don't conflict (eg. one plan has backup and device control and a second plan is Antivirus, but also has device control which causes a conflict)
